Oh yes. Wanting to provide
Oh yes. Wanting to provide all US women with contraception (should they elect to use it) means that the President of the United States is a ghetto pimp who wants to kill Baby Jesus. Stay classy, wingnuts!
How would you know?
1) How would you know what or whom you were aborting?
2) What woman in this country doesn't have access to contraception? What religious services employees have been complaining about not having access?
3) Why are you calling our president a Ghetto Pimp?
4) Why must the left continue to call names when they can't win arguments?
5) The left claims that if contraception isn't provided (for free) to every female in the country, then the Right is trying to BAN!!!! it. So when is the government going to start handing out free guns (remember the 2nd amendment)? I guess, if the government doesn't force employers to hand out guns, then it's trying to ban guns, by the same logic.
So God is all powerful but
So God is all powerful but can be defeated by contraception?
Yes
God is all powerful, but he lets people make their own mistakes. It's that little thing called free will.
He doesn't try to make everyone's outcomes the same. He lets people mold their own fates.
Yes but if HE is all powerful
Yes but if HE is all powerful he can thwart our plans. So if VIRGIN Mary was on birth control HE could use HIS all-powerful super duper super powers and negate the effect of the birth control.
Let's all pray to God and Birth Control equally. They seem to be evenly matched when it comes to their powers apparently.
You can't seem to get the point.
He let's people make their own stupid mistakes.
Why do people die? Why do people murder? You are allowed to make your own mistakes and ruin your own lives.
He's not really into "super duper power struggles" - as the comic book version of him in your mind suggests.
Sorry Toby, maybe I'm
Sorry Toby, maybe I'm mistaken, but isn't the implication that our current President would rather see Baby Jesus hadn't been born? And it seems that perhaps he's suggesting that the Virgin Mary should have used an abortifacient (an act which you wingnuts would consider murder)?
The implication
is that this president has made the statement in the past that a baby is a punishment that he wouldn't want his daughters to have to face (if she were to make the simple little mistake of having sex before she was married).
If he sees a picture of a woman (one that didn't even have sex in the first place if you listen to us 'wingnuts') with a baby (aka little bundle of punishment), he wouldn't think of what that baby could've become and meant to the world, he would think of how government missed its opportunight to provide the mother with an RU-486 pill.
It's clear that the President
It's clear that the President wants his daughters to have access to birth control so that they can decide for themselves when they are ready to have a baby.
But where did you get this notion that our President preferred the virgin mother had used contraceptives or "abortifacients" to prevent Jesus Christ from being born? I'm under the impression that the President is a christian, and being a christian entails being happy that the savior was born, does it not?
Who?
Who is keeping him and his family from accessing birth control? I don't know of anyone wanting to ban it?
He doesn't see the virgin mother and Jesus, he sees a mother with a punishment.
Just pointing out that the
Just pointing out that the President was affirming his support for contraceptives because he as a father wants his daughters to decide for themselves when they're ready to have a child.
Ah, so your cartoon President doesn't recognize the manger, the magi, Gabriel, the halos and the virgin mother? Because that IS a nativity scene, isn't it? And our President IS saying that it would have been better if Mary had used contraceptives so Jesus hadn't been born, isn't he?
Have you read about the issue
Have you read about the issue at all or are you just outraged for the sake of being outrage and creating a straw argument by pretending that people are afraid of a Ban on contraception.
The current policy asks that employers cover contraception under the plan they provide to their employees. Since Viagra get's covered under these plans (for horny old men) why not birth control for women?
So...
wait and see. This will be a central theme of the left's re-election campaign this fall... The 'wingnut right wingers' are trying to ban contraception. Unless you think the left is too honest and 'nice' to play dirty like that.
Employers - even religious employers. Isn't there something in the 1st amendment about letting people practice their religion without government interference.?

UPDATE!! THIS JUST IN!!! BREAKING NEWS!!!!! THIS JUST IN !!!!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ahahahhahhahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahha!!!!!
It took less than a single day. Via the oh-so-non-biased Chris Matthews... Here is the first volley in the Meme of 'Conservatives want to BAN!! birth control.' While talking about Rick Santorum last night, Matthews said:
...a candidate who said "it would be fine for him if states outlawed the sale of birth control."
They are just getting warmed up, LIKE I SAID THEY WOULD.
And, by the way, the statement by CM is a total fabrication. You may now return to your normally scheduled program.

So you'd be OK with a Muslim
So you'd be OK with a Muslim employer using Sharia Law to trump US law? You's be OK with a Scientologist employer denying employees coverage because his/her aversion to psychiatry?
Twist
Let's not twist the argument.
How is the Catholic church trumping US Law? It's not about a religion trumping US Law, it's about the US Government trying to make laws that tell a religion how it has to practice.
How would the Muslim employer feel about being forced to hire gays or jews?
How would the Scientologist feel about being forced to hire psychologists?
No one is twisting the
No one is twisting the argument so stop pretending its being twisted. The Catholic Bishops are saying any employer can deny women coverage for birth control based on their conscience. That's imposing religion.
Also, I don't care how the Muslim or Scientologist feel. Last time I checked this was America, a place where you cannot hide behind your religious beliefs to discriminate against gays, jews, and ...psychologists. If it hurts their feelings tough... they should move to a theocracy that bans mental health services.
Ok, it's not a ban
Does it sound better to say that [the right] want[s] to limit access to contraception? Because that is what they're trying to do when they oppose women getting any kind of price break on their monthly prescriptions. Considering that it costs the insurance companies less to prevent pregnancies than to provide care for them, and those who are least able to afford $50-$100 a month are also least able to afford a baby, I don't see why this is controversial at all or why we have to accommodate [anyone who disagrees with the left].
**NOTE FROM VRWC: typical names calling has been redacted and replaced with more appropriate language.
Personal Responsibility
is cheaper than $50-$100 per month. If you can't afford to have a baby, then don't do stuff that will make it happen (or better yet, find a cheaper way to keep it from happening).
Because someone has a certain idea of "pursuit of happiness" doesn't mean that everyone else has to bend their morals to accommodate them.
Your "right to cheaper contraception" isn't a "right" if it means others have to give up their "rights."
Babies
And I have to say, this concept that babies are punishment is repulsive, disgusting and vile. Babies are NOT PUNISHMENT! They are the result of sex...or didn't they cover that in Sex Ed? Probably not. They were too busy telling kids they ought to f*ck everyone all the time with no worries about that 'punitive' baby.
Why isn't Romney in this
Why isn't Romney in this cartoon as well? Romney had the same contraception policy under his healthcare law as Governor of MA. It's OK if you are Republican I guess. Hypocrite.
Romney didn't say what Obama said
Romney didn't say it. Obama said the line quoted in the cartoon.
Obama is also the most pro-abortion president in US history. He's not just in favor of pushing free contraceptives into the hands of jailbait teenagers, he's in favor of abortion as he proved with his stance against the Illinois born alive protection act. This act was an attempt to mandate that Illinois abortion doctors comply with federal law and provide life-saving medical care to babies who had survived botched abortion attempts. Obama was not only in favor of abortion in this case, but in favor of infanticide.
The controversy is about abortion no matter how much the left tries to pretend it's about contraception. As usual the left lies.
The whole "birth control" debate is bogus
It's about abortion and the love the left has with never having to deal with consequences. Wanna have sex with whatever/whoever? Fine. Deal with being "punished by a baby" by adopting it to some couple that can't conceive. Or call abortion what it is; killing a baby.
I didn't think...
I didn't think anyone would be able to to sicken me with a new level of Obama-hate, but you did. Where does this deeply emotional, visceral hatred of an American president come from? Just bizarre in its depth and constancy.
What goes around...
comes around. I think the current president hasn't even seen 10% of the hate that the last president saw. I'm sure you supported George W. Bush though. People are giving "O" the same respect "W" was given.
Wrong
I don't remember much Bush hate, at least not until he messed up the Iraq war so bad and people had to face that. Presidents who start wars and then mess them up and don't finish them, they get some backlash. I voted for Bush in both 2000 and 2004. Though by 2004 I didn't like him as president, but Kerry was a non-starter.
Also, 2 wrongs don't make a right, so even if your false equivalence were accurate, it is a childish argument.
Wow.
"I don't remember much Bush hate..."
Just..Wow....
Were you living under a rock for those 8 years?
Just assassination movies, assassination books, etc. etc. etc.
It would take me the rest of the day to document just the small portion of the Bush Hate. Try starting your education on Bush Derangement Syndrome (BSD) here.
You deliberately...
You deliberately took me out of context and also ignored my main point.
Bush got lots of negative flak, as I said, especially after the Iraq fiasco was fully exposed. But i still find it a false equivalence. Where were the constant attacks on Bush's citizenship, religion, etc...? However, I don't want to get into an argument of "no, they did as bad to Bush" or what not, that is just childish stuff. The point is what is going on now and what you are doing.
Huh?
I don't think I've ever seen anyone create ANYTHING calling for this president's assassination. If you remember correctly, that was the Meme when he was elected... "those crazy right wingers are going to try to harm the president."
So, now the point is "Forget everything that was ever done to or said about Bush, we aren't looking at the past, we are trying to move forward, and blah blah blah"
I guess the only time we can look back at Bush is when we blame him for all the failures of the current admin? Or when this admin wants to take credit for the success of the "Iraq Fiasco."
"What I am doing now" is trying to show the people in this country, who for some reason still think this president is good for us, that he is not.
We need change that we can believe in. Hopefully it starts on Sunday, January 20th, 2013.
Yes, directly copying and
Yes, directly copying and pasting something someone wrote is a great way to take it out of context, which you did, which you know you did, and which is obvious to anyone including you. You are just being deliberately difficult.
I didn't say forget what was done about Bush. I am talking about you and what you did, and I am saying that the claim that your disgusting behavior is OK because someone else did something disgusting. I think you are again being deliberately difficult.
Actually I would like to see the GOP, specifically Romney, win in 2012, but it aint gonna happen, and people like you are exactly part of the reason why. Oi..... what we have to put up with.
Bye now....
But...
I didn't hide what you originally wrote, so it wasn't out of context.
I don't remember any great migration away from Republican candidates last time around due to the cartoonist wing of the party. I think it has more to do with the liberal candidates the GOP insists on putting up.
Anyway, I can say, besides you blaming me for the downfall of the GOP, you've been pretty civil. That's better than what most others have posted ( an I haven't published). Thanks for that at least.
