uh, you do realize....

...that the bottom 50% of the earners actually control less than 1% of the wealth in the US, right? Of course you don't.

UHHHH,

Then get yourself into the upper 50% like you can in America... or should Maobama steal it from everyone and redistribute it to the lower 50% - yeah, that sounds fair...how about we kill all the rich people and give their money to the government to do with as they see fit. That will work better than letting people earn money and move up economically.

lol. Remind me why you're

lol. Remind me why you're not in the top 50% of earners again? Seeing as how it's as easy as saying "I want to be there" and all.

Control

What do you mean by Control? My cartoon isn't talking about the bottom 50% of asset 'controllers', but the bottom 50% of earners. Big difference there.

By control I mean "possess",

By control I mean "possess", which they do.

OK.

The bottom 50% may only posses 1% of the money, but they EARN 13% of it.

Just a reminder...

Just a reminder there "Steve G", this is my site, and I will not tolerate idiots or their (typical) idiotic liberal comments. If you want to have an adult discussion, we can, otherwise, I will continue to delete your 2nd grade level comments.

Bad Representation

I think that this might be a potentially misleading representation of the tax burden issue.

Let's take for instance a hypothetical situation where you had a two person country. Person A makes $10,000 a year and pays 100% of that as taxes. Person B makes $1,000,000 a year and pays 10% of that as taxes. The total government revenue would be $110,000. Person A (the bottom 50%) only contributes about 9% of the total gov't revenue, while Person B (the top 50%) contributes the remaining 91%. However, I don't think anybody here would want to be Person A!

How fair?

When a country rewards those who are lazy, and punishes those who are industrious, why are we surprised when the number of lazy folks increase, and the numbers of the industrious decreases? Those who busted their tail in high school/college/vocation and studied instead of partying are getting their rewards. Those who made decisions based on their own instant gratification are getting their reward as well.

I know of immigrants who are shocked at how some US citizens can be so lazy in such a land of opportunity.
